Being Within - Fitfusion

FitFusion focuses on bridging digital environments with physical interactions, exploring how architectural interventions and hybrid rituals can strengthen this connection while challenging notions of ownership, governance, accessibility, and trust. It engages with the community of STEPN, an app that has revolutionized the relationship between real physical activities and digital currencies through its Move- To-Earn model.

The facility is located in Korea, where the Stepn Offline event took place, and serves as an event hub for Stepn users, providing an innovative space for earning through running activities. This project concept stands out from traditional indoor tracks by creating a shared running space with "infinite length" and "infinite range." The goal is to bring the outdoor landscape indoors, adapting the running environment to different speeds (1-6 km/hr, 4-10 km/hr, 8-20 km/hr) by changing the slope and smoothness of the surface.

As a convivial architectural space, it can accommodate 50-100 Stepn users simultaneously, allowing them to exercise within the space. The modular landscape layout ensures that running routes are non-repetitive, and the space is designed with body movement challenges. Stepn users can earn rewards by voluntarily sharing their personal health data and completing running tasks required by research institutions, such as 5km to 20km marathons or GPS mapping.

Building Upon Building

“Architecture can be a potent weapon, a committed driving force on the side of enlightenment, aiming however indirectly at the transformation of our present make-believe society, where images outstrip reality and rewards outpace achievement.”– Berthold Lubetkin (Lewycka, 2021)

The project aims to improve visitors’ involvement with animals and the knowledge of ornithology habitats in an urban context. The programme intends to build up an ornithology research centre that continues animal conservation and improves animal living quality in an urban context.

‘Unzoo’ is the concept of the building. Animals and people are free to move or wander around the building. Penguins will have opportunities to develop their habitat.

Moreover, the programme will have both educational and research purposes that improve the ornithology research quality and give visitors knowledge about penguins and other species in the zoo.

Community 2050

Design aims to solve the uneven distribution of resources in modern cities through horizontal and vertical 15-minute communities composed of multi-functional skyscrapers. In our opinion, the way to balance social resources is to regions automatically adjust resource allocation through modular development. The skyscraper design is highly coorporated with the clients by using advanced technology (VR AR). In addition, the buildings group with landscae will constitute a community so that reduce unequality of infrastructures. The module house and units are flexible to design and construct, and the landscape which support the community's sustainability.

Architecture as Hope

What is a healing space for patients? In my opinion, It is a shelter that is away from the noise and crowd. It is a small space of your own, a sense of belonging. In this project, the visitor will enjoy a healing environment or recovery space while far from the light of Dubai. Multi-sensory spaces are the key concept. Sand, Sky and fantastic sea views are the perfect elements. It influences people from multiple perspectives, shaping their mental health.

Floating Community

The project is located in Makoko, Lagos, and aims to provide sustainable housing for low-income communities while addressing rising water levels, lack of green spaces, and pedestrian-friendly spaces. The design features modular communities in a grid layout, with each community comprising four blocks connected by bridges that serve as public spaces. Each block houses six families on the first and second floors, accommodating up to 24 families per community (around 350 people). The ground floor is dedicated to public spaces, local shops, and boat circulation.
