I’m Dongpei Yue , a AX & Service designer with a background in Architecture and Photography, and two years of interdisciplinary experience (Architecture, Interior design, and AIGC tool development).
Trained in architecture, I shifted to service design to better understand the human needs and systems behind space—building strengths in research, design strategy, user experience design, and visual storytelling.
Throughout the year in RCA, I collaborated with EY Seren and Imperial College London to explore AI-driven solutions for emotional support, 3D modeling, and decision-making. In parallel, with Kensington and Chelsea Borough applied service design to rethink public space and support inclusive, sustainable urban futures.
These collaborations have deepened my understanding of how both AI and service design shape human experiences—from emotional well-being and financial decision-making to public engagement and spatial inclusion—and inspired me to pursue a design path that brings intelligence and empathy together across systems and human relationships
Looking ahead, I aim to explore how intelligent systems can act as meaningful mediators in human relationships — enhancing empathy, enabling collective decisions, and shaping more sustainable and inclusive futures.
My vision is to bridge emotional intelligence and system design across sectors including digital healthcare, urban innovation, the future of work, and financial wellbeing—creating services that go beyond solving problems to build trust, resilience, and shared responsibility.
Overall, my approach integrates spatial thinking, visual storytelling, and service design method with emerging AI capabilities — to transform human insights and systemic challenges into practical, future-oriented solutions.
